Richard Eugene Williams, 69, of Springfield, IL passed away on Thursday July 30, 2026 surrounded by his family. Richard was born in Springfield on October 26, 1956 in Springfield, the son of Ralph and Betty (Trader) Williams.

Richard grew up in Divernon, Il and graduated from Divernon High School and he married his wife, Bonnie Hogan on May 27, 1987.

Richard worked in the HVAC industry throughout Springfield and the Decatur areas.

He was a simple man that spent his life taking road trips and spending time with his family.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Ralph.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Willaims of Springfield; mother, Betty Williams of Springfield; children, Charity White (Jerry) of Springfield, Craig Williams (Danielle) of Loveland, CO, Ally Williams of Springfield; and grandson, Ezra Williams.

Cremation services are being accorded.

A graveside service is being held on Wednesday August 5, 2026 at Rochester Cemetery in Rochester, IL at 10:00 am. Guests are invited to arrive after 9:45am.
