Richard A. Seitz, 65, of Springfield passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at St. John's Hospice.

Richard was born on October 15, 1950 in Springfield, the son of Steven and Grace Mazeka Seitz.

He was a professional sanitation engineer for DeLong Waste, Lake Area Disposal and Lasley's Disposal.  He also worked as a free-lance small engine mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings, Steve Seitz Jr., Darlene Brazier, Pat Marion, Donald Seitz and John Seitz Sr.

He is survived by siblings, Sharon Wade of Springfield, Vickie Stimage of Springfield, Mike Seitz of Springfield, Bob Seitz of Springfield, Rosalie Cleaver of Springfield, Sandy Duggan of FL, Ronnie Seitz of AZ, Bill Seitz of Springfield; several nieces and nephews, including his favorite niece, Monica Seitz James of Springfield; and several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home.
