Raymond F. Thomas, 86, of Edinburg IL, passed away on August 14, 2019 at his residence.

Raymond was born on February 15, 1933 at his family home, the son of Benjamin and Mamie (Cooper) Thomas.

He proudly served in the United States Army from 1953 till 1955 and continued his love for country until his death. He was a man who loved his Lord, Family, Neighbors and Farming.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joyce Hedden; and a brother-in-law, Dwight "BUD" Mason.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Emma Requarth Thomas; sisters, JoAnn (Paul) Biek, and Sandy Mason; 2 sons Brad (Chris) Thomas of Edinburg, and Jeff (Kathy) Thomas of Taylorville; 2 daughters, Susan (Tony) Suggs, and Chris (Dennis) Metsker also of Taylorville; grandchildren, Chelsea (Jordan) McKinnie, Clint Thomas, Gina Thomas, Jennifer Thomas, Jessica Lael, Nicole Lael, Allen Miles-Suggs, Shanice Neal, Christina Suggs, Ben (Kaitlyne) Metsker, Cody Metsker, and Ty (Jessa) Metsker; 10 great-grandchildren to also carry on his Legacy, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Edinburg Cemetery in Edinburg IL, on Saturday August 17, 2019 at 12 noon. A lunch will be held following the service at the Edinburg Community Building. The family is being served by Wilson Park Funeral Home 109 East Washington Street, Edinburg, IL 62531.
