Raymond F. Shartzer, 71, of Mt. Auburn, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at his home. Raymond was born on October 11, 1950, in Illiopolis, the son of John and Doris (Stokes) Shartzer. He enjoyed watching westerns, fishing, hunting and camping in his younger days. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Gist. He is survived by his wife, Betty Diaz-Shartzer; three sons, Brian, Stacy and Micky Shartzer; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother, Jonathan; sisters, Patsy, Cora, Dotty and Jayne as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation was accorded by Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home, 432 7th St. in Illiopolis. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Park Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
