Ray B. Heckwine

TAYLORVILLE, IL - Ray B. Heckwine, 79, formerly of Mt. Auburn, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at his home.

He was born on July 9, 1934, in Mt. Auburn, the son of Bennett and Beulah Linn Heckwine. He worked as a vertical operator at the Caterpillar, Inc., and retired after thirty years. He was a member of the Local U.A.W.#751.

He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Cleo Heckwine and Zelma McDonald, and a brother, Norris Heckwine.

He is survived by his sister, Kathleen Lybarger, of Illiopolis, a brother, Gale Heckwine (Marilyn) of Jesup, Ga., and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. at the Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Illiopolis.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday at the funeral home at 1 p.m.
