Ramona J. Colen, 37 of Rochester, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield. Mona was born on May 15, 1986, in Springfield, the daughter of Charles Downes and Penny Schroeder. She married Kelly Colen on May 13, 2016 and he survives.

Mona loved being a mom and taking care of her children and others. She also enjoyed hiking, cooking and fishing.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Rick; both her paternal and maternal grandparents, as well as 1 uncle and 1 aunt.

She is survived by her husband, Kelly; 5 daughters, Rylee Colen, Morgyn Huckabee, Makenah Huckabee, Malinzi Schroeder and Maddyx Schroeder; parents, Charles Downes and Penny Schroeder; sister, Jennifer (Jason) Downes; best friend, Sunnie Pipkin; nieces and nephews, Zaidyn Marr, Kamdyn Knope, Westin Knope, Koralynn Knope, Emersyn Knope, Elidey Angeli and Jade Miller, as well as one uncle, Ron Schroeder and many other extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 16, at The Back 9, 455 State Street in Rochester, from 11:00AM- 3:00PM
