BUFFALO, IL - Peggie Joyce Benton, 85, of Buffalo, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015, at the Auburn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Peggie was born on September 11, 1930, in Fort Wayne, Ind., the daughter of Charles and Madge Kerr Harmon. She married Edward Earl Benton on November 6, 1948, in Decatur; he preceded her in death on April 17, 2010.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Gary.

She is survived by two sons, Terry (Gail) Benton and Paul (Gail) Benton; nine grandchildren: Rachel, Hollie, Teri, Jeremy, Josh, Jennifer, Jessica, Adam and Krista; 17 great-grandchildren; and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester with Pastor Mike Jakaitis officiating. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
