MECHANICSBURG, IL - Pearl Elizabeth Fields, 86, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at home with family.
Pearl was born in Bolivia, Ill., on Jan. 30, 1929, to Alvie and Sylvia Fishburn, one of nine sisters, one brother, four half-brothers and one half-sister. Pearl was married to Raymond Crain of Roby, Ill., and later in life to Gene Fields of Dawson, Ill.
She retired from John W Hobbs after 30 years. Pearl liked to play cards and absolutely loved Paradise Casino in Peoria, and she made the best pies in the world.
Pearl was preceded in death by two daughters, Kim Fields and Phyllis Matthew.
Pearl is survived by one son, Keith Crain; three grandchildren: Shawna Crain Moore, Hoyt Matthew, and Kendra Matthew Booker; and several great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial gathering from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at Mechanicsburg Christian Church. A lunch will be provided immediately following at the church.
