ROCHESTER, IL - Patricia "Chicken" Ross, 86, of Rochester, passed away Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Sunrise Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Virden.

Patricia was born June 10, 1929, in Las Cruces, N.M., the daughter of Charles and Lucy Cooper. She married Jack Ross on Feb. 4, 1950, who preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1991.

Patricia worked as a computer keypunch operator in the banking industry and was a homemaker. Patricia loved spending time with her grandchildren, singing in the Rochester Christian Church Choir, preparing Sunday dinners for family, and travel.

She was a member of Rochester Christian Church.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Betty Coker, Mary Lou Vajda, and Nell Bliler.

Patricia is survived by sister, Eileen Robberts, and brother, Chuck Cooper.

Patricia is also survived by her daughter Cindy (Steve) Button of Rochester; two sons, Denny (Lisa) Ross of Heyworth, and Jack (Valerie) Ross of Springfield; grandchildren: Tessa (Ellis) Sampson, Kate Pasley, Jack (Ashley) Ross, Savannah Ross, Hannah (Tevis) Gaylord, Emma Ross, and Ellen Ross; two great-grandchildren, Addison Guimard and McKinnley Ross; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester with Mark Butcher officiating.

Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Alzheimer's Association , Rochester Christian Church, or Huntington's Disease Society of America.
