Patricia L Groth, 81, of Springfield, IL passed away on February 4, 2022 at the Villas East in Sherman.

Patricia was born in Springfield, IL on August 5, 1940 the daughter of Phillip and Valada Durkin. She married her husband, Francis C. Groth Jr. on June 14, 1963.

She enjoyed reading a good book with a cup of coffee at all hours of the day. Patricia loved her family and was always cooking at family gatherings. She was a homemaker and a caregiver to many.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis C. Groth Jr.; son, Michael T. Groth; sister, Genevieve Followell and sister, Phyllis Tinsley and her husband Fred Tinsley.

She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Chris) Reese of Mississippi; sons, Francis C. Groth III of Springfield, William J. Groth of Springfield, Rodney (Kelly) Groth of Rochester, and Troy (Krisinda) Groth of Springfield; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother, James (Doris) Durkin of Springfield; and her sister, Helen (Todd) Renfrow of Springfield.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 9, 2022 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702 from 1:00pm till the time of the Memorial Service at 4:00pm. Cremation Services will be accorded and she will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Springfield at a later date. A Celebration of Life will take place immediately following the services at the KC Lake Club, 141 N Lakewood Dr, Chatham, IL 62629.

Pastor Larry Hanson will be officiating.
