TAYLORVILLE, IL - Ogreata Thomas, 94, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at Taylorville Care Center.

Ogreata was born on April 19, 1921, in Taylorville, the daughter of Earl and Verna Boarden. She married Vernon Thomas on March 16, 1940; he preceded her in death on August 8, 1966.

She retired from Horace Mann as an underwriter after over 30 years of service.

She is survived by two children, Larry (Carolyn, deceased) Thomas and Gerry (Ron) Mahan; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Bob) Becker, Brent (Ronda) Thomas, Cheri McQuire, Angie (Brent) Houseworth, Lori (Jeff) Farmer; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, at Edinburg United Methodist Church with Reverend Ray Radae officiating. Burial will follow at Edinburg Cemetery.
