Norma J. Ford

ILLIOPOLIS - Norma J. Ford, 74, of Illiopolis passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013, from cancer at her home.

She was born August 5, 1938, in Decatur, the daughter of N. Dale Clark and Mildred Myers Buechler. Norma married George E. Ford on December 28, 1956. She was a graduate of Stephen Decatur High School. After high school she worked at Illinois Power Company in Decatur. Later she worked for Dr. Taylor in Decatur and Dr. Brown in the Illiopolis office. Norma was a homemaker and a farm wife.

She was a member of the Illiopolis Christian Church where she had been very active in past years. She was very involved with friends and activities in the Rolling Prairie Corvette Club. She enjoyed her many crafts and previously was an Amway representative, an Avon representative and a cake decorator.

Survived by her husband, George, of Illiopolis; four sons, Rick E. Ford (Janet) of Illiopolis, Douglas B. Ford (Bev) of Loudon, TN, Tim A. Ford (Joanne) of Pasadena, Maryland, Tyler J. Ford (Bonnie) of Illiopolis; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Donna K. Buech-ler (companion, Theresa Furey) of Springfield; a brother, Charles Clark (Sue) of Illiopolis; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 28, 2013, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Illiopolis. Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Illiopolis Christian Church with Reverend Melissa Ebken officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Illiopolis.
