Nelva "Rose" Lorton, 87, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Heritage Health Center.

Rose was born in Springfield on November 7, 1931 the daughter of Charles Grigsby and Elizabeth Blanchard.

She loved spending time with her family and playing bingo.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Jurgens; daughter, Brenda Blair; daughter, Joan May and her husband Joe; her parents; a grandson, James May; and twelve brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Charlie (wife, Teresa) Jurgens of AL; daughters, Jane (husband, Rich) Durham of Pekin and Tina Ippert of Springfield; sister, Catherine Jurgens of Springfield; sixteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday November 4, 2019 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home with Reverend Glenn Grigsby officiating.
