Nancy Jean Roese, 80, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at St. John's Hospital.

Nancy was born in New City, IL. on Janaury 12, 1941, the daughter of Thomas and Grace (Lederbrand) Spengler. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, playing bridge, and water aerobics.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred, and brother, Henry Spengler

She is survived by two daughters, Brandy (Dale Jr.) Thomas, and Laurel (Michael) Brown; grandchildren Sylvia Thomas, Adain Roese & Philip Brown; one brother, Jim Spengler; three sisters, Delores Hobbs, Carolyn Lagemann, Donna Hibbitts, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of the funeral service at Noon on Monday, May 24, at Rochester Christian Church with Pastor Brad Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in New City.

Memorial donations may be made to Rochester Christian Church or to the American Cancer Society.
