Myrna D. Whitehead, 89, of Mt. Auburn, IL passed away on Wednesday March 12, 2025. Myrna was born in Decatur, IL on July 15, 1935 the daughter of Paul and Martha (Hardy) Bland.

Myrna met C. Norman Whitehead and they were married on November 14, 1953. He preceded her in death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Eric Thomas Whitehead; and her granddaughter, Stephanie Whitehead.

Myrna is survived by her son, Michel Whitehead (Jacqueline) of Mt. Auburn; son, Scott Whitehead (Michele) of Mason City; grandchildren, Stacey Whitehead (James Denton) of Taylorville, Andrew Whitehead (Debbie) of Mt. Auburn, Dustin Whitehead (Kayla) of Beason, Ashley Whitehead (Jade Stephens) of Kincaid, Ashley Gard (Billy) of Waverly, Savannah Estes of Timpson, TX, Avari Purcell of Decatur, and Tucker Biesenthal (Hannah) of Collinsville; as well as several Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.

She was a member of the Mt. Auburn Picnic Association and a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church. Myrna enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting and oil painting. She loved listening to Willie Nelson and playing the organ for many years.

Myrna will be laid to rest at Mt. Auburn Cemetery with graveside services on Monday March 17, 2025 at 11:00am. Friends and Family are all invited to attend. Graveside services are being performed by Fullenwider Park Funeral Home of Illiopolis, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the Village of Mt. Auburn Community Center or the Mt. Auburn Fire Department.
