Michelle Louise Hanson, 63, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center after a long battle with numerous health issues.

Michelle was born on May 17, 1954 in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and Jane Boehm Broeker.

Michelle worked for Humphrey's Market and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and a fan of all Chicago teams.  She was a member of 4H when she was younger.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Jessica Hanson Russell; five siblings, Chuck (Maryann) Broeker, Don (Jean) Broeker, Diana (Jay) Harris, Tim (Sheila) Broeker, Tina Boehm; two grandchildren, Justice Russell and Alexandrea Russell; two great grandsons, Brandon Lee and Blaze Lee; very close best friends Penny, Zoe, & Julie; and countless nieces and nephews; and very large abundance of friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Daniel Hill officiating.  Cremation will follow.
