Michael J. Spencer, 64, of Springfield IL passed away on August 3, 2019 at his home while in the company of his family.

Michael was born on September 26, 1954 in England, the son of Jackie and Charlynne Spencer.

During his life, Michael was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed spending time with family and close friends, and he loved to cook.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Cami and his brother, Mark.

He is survived by his brother, Rick; close cousin, Marilyn Borrero; aunt and uncle, Jeanette and Larry Spencer; aunt and uncle, Donna and Ronnie Spencer; aunt, Cheryl Cryer; extended family, 2 nieces and close friends.

Cremation is being accorded by Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home.

Family will be holding a private family service in their own time.
