Michael L. Smith, 67, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Advocate Bromenn Regional Medical Center in Normal, IL.

Michael was born on October 21, 1950 in Little Rock, AR the son of Wade Smith Sr. and Juanda Phelps.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He went on to work for State of Illinois Department of Revenue where he retired.  He was baptized as catholic and had been a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. He was a member of Greater Springfield Bowling Association and loved his cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wade Smith Jr.

He is survived by many friends.

Cremation was accorded.  No services are planned.
