Michael Renya Brown, 58, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Michael was born in St. Louis, on August 3, 1964, the son of Robert Brown Sr. and Annie Boykins. He was married Laurel Roese, in Springfield, IL., on February 19, 2013 and she survives.

Michael enjoyed working on anything with a motor, riding motorcycles, and watching his sons.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Delores Burnes; and four brothers, Richard, Melvin, Samuel and Robert Brown Jr.

Michael is survived by his wife, Laurel; two sons, Philip Brown and Adain Roese; siblings, Maxine Devereaux, Kathleen Fugate, Diana Brown, Barbara Wilcots, Gerladine Brown, Charles Brown, Kareena Muhammad, Jeffery Brown, Leon Brown, Patricia Capers, Sheila Fulton, Robert Brown Jr. and David Brown, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 27, from 1:00PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00PM at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St. in Rochester, with Pastor Paul Swanson officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester is in charge of arrangements.
