Melissa Ann Waller, 42, formerly of Springfield, passed away on December 12, 2024 surround by the love of her family.

Melissa was born in Springfield on May 4, 1982 and was the daughter of Martin Waller and Christine (Lewis) Daugherty.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Edra Lewis and Arlene Waller; two uncles, James Lewis Jr. and David Lewis.

Melissa is survived by her mother, Christine (Jeff) Daugherty, father, Martin (Sue) Waller; sister, Melinda K. Waller; niece and nephew, Alyssa and Mason; as well as several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

She loved singing, painting, dancing and making people smile. Melissa was a mother figure to all of her friends and she cared deeply for her family.

Cremation services are being accorded by Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home in Springfield.

A Celebration of Life will be held around Melissa's birthday.
