Mary Alice Shoudel, 87, of Rochester, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Carriage Crossing Senior Living in Rochester, IL.

Mary was born on April 1, 1938 in Garrett, Indiana, the daughter of Elmer Vaughn and Zelma (Metzger) Minniear.

She married Larry Shoudel on July 24, 1960 and he survives.

Mary was a teacher with Preschool in the Park in Washington Park. She enjoyed colored pencil drawing, and traveling with her husband and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lynne; and sister, Olive Gerard.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Larry; sons Dr. John (Maggie) Shoudel and David (Angela) Shoudel; grandchildren, Celine and Keeley Shoudel and Dalton Felber.

Cremation will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at a later date at Rochester Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Rochester Lion's Club.
