Mary Elizabeth Harter, 81, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at her residence.

Mary was born on January 3, 1935 in Springfield the daughter of Albert and Edith Manion Tucker.  She married Raymond Harter Sr.; he preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and had worked at Catholic Charities in Springfield before retiring.

She is survived by her son, Leonard (Cassie) Harter; daughter, Debra (Darrell) Durbin; two grandchildren, Heather (Brian) Dickerson and Devin Durbin; two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Zachary Dickerson; three brothers; four sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Edinburg Cemetery with Reverend Kevin Carrothers officiating.
