Mary Louise Goodin

ROCHESTER, IL - Mary Louise Goodin, 85, formerly of Atlanta, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at her home in Rochester.

She was born Sept. 27, 1929, in Atlanta, Ill., the daughter of George and Goldie Miller Williams. She married Lloyd Goodin; he preceded her in death in 2002.

Mary Lou was a member of South Fork Church of Christ. She was an operator for General Telephone in Bloomington, worked at the Atlanta Library, and was a housekeeper and nanny for years for Dick and Mary Johnson on their chicken farm. She then worked at the Illinois Agricultural Association where she retired. Mary Lou then spent time volunteering at Memorial Medical Center Baylis Building Day Surgery.

Mary Lou was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by one daughter, Penny (Neil) Passfield of Rochester; and two grandsons, Aaron (fiancAC., Ashley, of Hudson) Passfield of Rochester, and Seth (Amber) Passfield of Terre Haute, Ind.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at the Atlanta Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: South Fork Church of Christ, The Animal Protective League, or Rochester Library.
