Obituary
Mary L. Gdes, 89, of Springfield passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at her home.
She was born March 23, 1927 in Springfield, the daughter of Ignatius and Anna Hoffman Perko. She married William "Bill" Geddes on December 6 1947.
Mary was a homemaker and loved caring for others. She was a volunteer at Sangamon State for 25 years and at Memorial Medical Center for over 9 years. She also loved working in her garden.
She is survived but her husband, Bill; a daughter, Susan Geddes of Springfield; a nephew Robert (Joyce) Fernandes; a niece, Barbara Banning both of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Betty Perko of Long River, WA; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, William L. Geddes; and a brother, Frederick Perko.
Services will be private for the family. Cremation have been accorded.
