Mary Jane Ealey, 79, of Rochester, passed away at St. John’s Hospital on Thursday June 4, 2026.

Mary Jane was born in Springfield, IL. on March 10, 1947, the daughter of C. Homer and Zella Jane (Sample) Ealey. She enjoyed feeding the deer and birds that made their way through her yard.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ruth Ann Gabriel; 6 brothers, Robert, Kenny, Melvin, Louis, Carl & Don Ealey.

Mary Jane is survived by her sister, Brenda (Ed) Buckles; two brothers, Paul (Jolene) Ealey and Jerry (Cindy) Ealey as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held at a later date and burial will be with her parents at Roselawn Memorial Park in Springfield.

Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester is in charge of arrangements.
