ILLIOPOLIS, IL - Marvella June Carey, 81, of Illiopolis, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at St. John's Hospital.

Marvella was born May 29, 1934. She was married to James Carey for 62 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Mitchell; and granddaughter, Breanna Hilbert.

She was the loving mother of four children: Michael Carey of Altamont, Cheryl Carey of Nokomis, Margaret Hilbert of Illiopolis and Steven Carey of Calhoun, Ga.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In accordance with Marvella's wishes, no services will be held.
