Marilyn "Jeanne" Abbott, 70, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 in McKinney, TX.

Jeanne was born on April 15, 1946 in Springfield the daughter of Robert A. and Betty L. Karrick Moffitt.  She married Gary E. Abbott on June 8, 1968; he preceded her in death in 1995.

Jeanne worked for the Post Office in Petersburg for over 15 years.  She was a great cook and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Floyd R. Moffitt.

She is survived by children, Henry D. (Asif Raza) Cronister Jr of Jacksonville, Darla (Kelly) Pantaleone of Bloomington and Richard Abbott of Springfield; sister-in-law, Sharlene Moffitt of McKinney, TX; grandchildren, Justin (Kristin) Upton, DJ Pantaleone, Lindsey (Brandon) Cotner, Emily (Wesley) Marit, Thomas (Sara) Abbott and Tessa Pantaleone; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Lynn Bohlmann officiating.  Burial will follow at Farmers Point Cemetery in Petersburg.
