Margaret M. Sundby, 88, of Petersburg, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home.

Margaret was born on August 8, 1928, in Chicago the daughter of Caesar and Mary Kalck LeClercq.  She married Robert George Sundby on April 21, 1951 in Chicago; he preceded her in death on February 8, 1982.

Margaret worked for Northern Illinois Medical Center and retired as the Director of Human Services.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert George Sundby; and sister, Jeannette Bessler.

She is survived by two sons, Don (Carla) Sundby of Petersburg and David (Renee) Sundby of Janesville, WI; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Cremation will be accorded and private graveside services will be held at a later date at Windridge Cemetery in Cary, IL.
