Margaret Beck, 92, of Rochester, passed away on Friday August 26, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center.

Margaret was born on July 12, 1924 in Springfield the daughter of Charles P. and Emma Harter Story.  She married Marshall "Fay" Beck on August 24, 1946.

Margaret was a longtime nursery director at Rochester United Methodist church and she was the first Western Union Bicycle Messenger in Springfield.  She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge #573.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents in 1988.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne (Anita) Beck and Dean Beck both of Rochester; one sister, Betty Devocelle of Holiday, FL; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a family and friends memorial graveside service held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rochester United Methodist Church, Abraham Lincoln Counsel Boy Scouts of America, or Rebekah Lodge 573.
