MECHANICSBURG, IL - Marcella "Cella" M. Byerline, 86, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at St. John's Hospice.

Cella was born on May 29, 1929 in Pittsfield the daughter of George and Viola Dunham. She married Russell W. Byerline; he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Byerline graduated from Tri-City High School. She ran her own beauty shop, was assistant Post Master, and former Mayor of Mechanicsburg. She was a member of Mechanicsburg Christian Church.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Linda Lane.

She is survived by one son, Jeff (Connie) Byerline; one daughter, Lana (Bob) Tyma; one brother, Victor Dunham; two sisters, Avalee Ertl and Franny Georges; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mechanicsburg EMT's.
