Mabel Bowersock

ROCHESTER - The spirit of Mabel Bowersock departed from her earthly body on Monday, August 11, 2014. She was the daughter of Frank and Fannie Gorman of Owaneco. She married Carroll Bowersock in 1940 and together they lived and worked on their farm in the Rochester area.

During her 95 years, family was her greatest joy. Mabel was an organist at the Rochester Methodist Church for many years. She was a Past Matron in the Sangamo Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband and four older brothers.

Mabel is survived by two daughters: Joyce (Jim) Harp, Carolyn (RL) Moore; grandchildren: David (Barb) Harp of Decatur, Carole Harp and Sarah (Jason) Musgrave; great-granddaughters, Mary Boesdorfer and Julia Musgrave; all of Rochester.

Memorials may be sent to Friends of St. John's Hospital-Hospice.

Private family services were held in Rochester Cemetery.
