Lorene Ketchum Hill

BUFFALO, IL - Lorene Ketchum Hill, 87, died on Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Heritage Health.

Lorene was born on November 17, 1926, in Mechanicsburg, the daughter of Stanley and Mayme Holmes Ketchum. She married Theodore "Ted" Hill; he preceded her in death.

She was a 1945 graduate of Tri-City High School. She had lived at Oddfellow Heritage Apartments in Buffalo for over 25 years. She was a die-hard Cub fan and loved to cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by three sons, Randall Phelan of New York, N.Y., Robert and Rick Phelan, both of Springfield; four grandchildren, Robert Phelan III, Camille Phelan, Angel Phelan and Travis Phelan; three nieces, Peggy Ashton, Sherry Drabing, and Sue Ketchum-Fryman; and one nephew, Larry Ketchum.

Cremation was accorded by Springfield Crematory. Burial will be at a later date at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
