Lois Joann (Davidson) Childress passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 3:13 p.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

Lois was born in Kincaid on July 31, 1923 the daughter of Frank and Sinie Davidson.  She married Carl Childress on February 6, 1946.

She lived 55 years in Decatur and retired from ILGWU dress factory in Decatur.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Childress; sister, Gwendolyn Nave; and brother, Francis Davidson.

Lois leaves two surviving daughters, Gwendolyn Kaiser (Thomas) of Las Vegas, NV and Mary Grace Given of Edinburg; three grandchildren, Charles Truax II of Edinburg, Kelly Sharkey of Las Vegas, NV and Denise (Michael) Reason, Calamesa, CA; five great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Bethany Cemetery.
