Leonard Dale Lewis, 81, of Dawson, passed away on Friday, November, 5, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.

Dale was born on July 7, 1940, in Reeves, TN, the son of Leonard and Mozelle (Williams) Lewis. He married Phyllis Schuyler in December of 1973 and she survives. Dale worked as an Operating Engineer for Local 965 from 1964 until his retirement in 2002. He also enjoyed bowling and working on cars.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Dale is survived by his wife, Phyllis; son, Keith Lewis; and daughter, Cindy Walski; 3 grandchildren, Danielle, Andrew and Chris; 5 great grandchildren, Alyvia, Ben, Jason, Caspian, and Wyatt.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00-4:00PM on November 20, at King Pin Lanes 3115 E Sangamon Ave, Springfield, IL 62702, in the banquet room.

In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA  22116-7023.

Cremation was accorded by Park Funeral Homes, 200 East Main Street, in Rochester.
