Leona (Barry) Denniss, 92, of Riverton IL, passed away on Tuesday April 7, 2020 while in the company of family.

Leona was born on May 25, 1927 in Springfield IL.

She spent a large portion of her working career in Springfield at the Pillsbury Mills Factory. She enjoyed flower gardens, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, but especially her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wiant, the father of her children; her husband, Fredrick "Bus" Denniss; 3 children, Tom Wiant, Karen Wiant, and Stuart Wiant.

Leona is survived by her children, Terri Wiant of Riverton, William (Bill) Wiant (wife, Cheri) of Ozark, MO; grandchildren, Samantha Wiant, Tracy Wiant, T.J. Wiant, Tiffany Wiant, Michael Wiant, Lance Wiant, Joseph Wiant, Rebecca Brown of Auburn, Angie Drennan of Springfield, Alana Reynolds of Springfield, Amanda Wiant of Spaulding, William Wiant of Springfield, Suzanne Wiant of Riverton, Jessie Wiant of Springfield, and Jed Wiant of Ozark, MO; 21 Great Grandchildren, and several Great Great Grandchildren ; as well as Marshall Wiant (wife, Paulette) of Greenview, who was thought of as a son.

Cremation Services are being accorded by Ellinger-Kunz and Park in Springfield.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
