Leo Dapron 84, of Springfield, IL passed away on March 4, 2022.

Leo was born on August 3, 1937 in Springfield, IL the son of Leo L. and Florence Dapron. Leo was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon (Cruise) Dapron, one son-in-law, Rodney Reynolds; and two grandsons, Danny Dapron, Jr. and Rodney Reynolds II.

He is survived by his five children, Danny (Susie Calillier) Dapron, Debra Reynolds, Diana (Gary) Thompson, Darlene (Kenny) Marx, Denise (Charles) Kunz, all of Springfield; one brother, Richards (Phyllis) Dapron; sister-in-law, Linda Glover; twenty-two Grandchildren, twenty-three Great Grandchildren, one Great Great Grandson; and several Nieces and Nephews.

Leo had many friends from Granada Lakes Resort in Ft. Myers, FL and Lost Arrow Campominium, in Havana, IL where him and Sharon spent many Great Times.

He was employed by Sangamo Electric, Allis Chalmers and retired from the City of Springfield Power Plant in 1995. He also raced at Midstate Kart Club for many years when he was a young man; he raced go-carts and loved every minute of it.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Chatham Cemetery with Pastor Dan Eum officiating.
