REIDSVILLE, GA - Leatta Lee Bottoms, 84, of Reidsville, Ga., formerly of Springfield, Ill., died Oct. 19, 2015, at her residence.

Leatta was born May 23, 1931, in Breckenridge, Ill., the daughter of Elmer and Alice Eilene Hook Lee. She married John Thomas Bottoms in 1949; he preceded her in death in May of 1986.

She worked as a CNA at a nursing home. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, embroidering and reading.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; four sons: John, Terry, Daniel and Donald Bottoms; grandson, John Christopher Southerland; and daughter-in-law, Tommineth Bottoms.

She is survived by one son, Earl (Martha) Bottoms of Paducah, Ky.; five daughters: Shareena (John) McKinney of Springfield, Julie (Ron) Arnold of Reidsville, Ga., Shirley (Terry) Southerland of Wichita, Kan., Leanna (Andy) Bousana of Wichita, Kan.; and Janet (Mike) Cook of Lodgepole, Neb.; 28 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester with Deacon Thomas A. Bottoms officiating.

Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Sharpsburg.
