Lauren Ashleigh Klasing, 27, of Springfield, IL passed away on Monday August 16, 2021 at her residence.

Lauren was born in Springfield on April 29, 1994 the daughter of Deborah S Sockel.

She attended St. Aloysius Catholic School until 8th grade and then went on to graduate from Lanphier High School in 2012. Lauren went to MTI and became a Certified Medical Assistant. She continued her education through LLCC and became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Lauren enjoyed working in the medical field helping people. We all loved Lauren unconditionally. She had a big heart, an infectious smile and had a way of making people like her. She loved big and she loved hard. She called me her hero, when really she was mine. Lauren loved her children with all of her heart and they loved her. She also loved animals, especially cats and dogs.

Lauren is survived by her mother, Debbie Sockel; children, Landyn Klasing and Aalayah Klasing; Godfather, Denis Kerasotes; brother, Keith (Kristin) Klasing; grandmother, Anasue "Abby" Haines, and grandfather, Adam Sockel Jr; aunt, Anasue (Abby) Botz, (Ron) and her uncle David Sockel ( Laurie), as well as several other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her step grandfather, Richard Haines, and her step grandmother, JoAnne Sockel.

Visitation will be held on Monday August 23, 2021 at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St. Rochester, IL from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. The funeral services will take place on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m.
