Larry Lee Thomas, 81, of Edinburg, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. Larry was born on June 18, 1944, the son of Vernon and Ogreata (Boaden) Thomas. He married his high school sweetheart Carolyn Ruth Requarth on December 31, 1961. Larry was a lifelong farmer and was a member of the Edinburg Lutheran Church, served on the Edinburg Volunteer Fire Department Board, Edinburg School Board, Farm Credit Services Board and the Edinburg Lions Club. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Carolyn.

Larry is survived by two children, Stephanie Becker and Brent (Ronda) Thomas; four grandsons, Justin (Chelsea) McCarty, Jacob, Joshua (Kristen) and Jared (Carrlie) Thomas, two great granddaughters, Talia McCarty and Maevyn Thomas; one sister, Gerry (Ron) Mahan; brother in law Charlie (Donna) Requarth; sisters in law Margaret Requarth, and Margaret (Greg) Moody as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to Trinity Lutheran Church in Edinburg, for a visitation from 12:30 until the time of the funeral service at 2:00PM with Reverend Gaylord Spilker, on Thursday, November 10, 2022. Burial will follow at Edinburg Cemetery.
