Larry Lee "Pete" Diedrich

EDINBURG, IL - Larry Lee "Pete" Diedrich, 73, of Edinburg passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center.

Larry was born Aug. 1, 1940, in Springfield, the son of Edward and Agnes Warren Diedrich. He married Brenda Sinkhorn on Dec. 29, 1978, in Memphis, Tenn.

Larry served our country in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967.

He worked at Sloan's Implement for over 49 years, retiring May 2013.

Larry was an active member of the Rochester Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dolores E. Diedrich in 1932.

Larry is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughters, Terri (Robert) Wagner of St. Augustine and Nikki (Travis) Hemken of Taylorville; son, Gary Diedrich of Edinburg; grandchildren: Caleb (Becky) Wagner, Casey (Erica) Wagner, Caitlin (Michael) Chancellor, Corbin Wagner, all of Florida, and Ava and Easton Hemken of Taylorville; great- grandchildren: Ryan Wagner, Elias Chancellor and Avery Wagner, all of Florida.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Edinburg with the Rev. Kevin Carrothers officiating. Burial will follow at Edinburg Cemetery.
