ROCHESTER, IL - Larry Louise Churchill, 99, of Rochester, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at St. John's Hospital.

Larry was born July 19, 1916, near Greenview, the daughter of Guy Larry and Anna Smith Swiney. She married John H. Churchill; he preceded her in death in 1970.

She was a homemaker and, after raising her children, she worked for Rockford Life. She was a member of Rochester United Methodist Church, and past member of Rochester Historical Preservation Society, Eastern Star and Pinnacle Club. She volunteered as a Good Samaritan at Memorial Medical Center. She collected glassware, and she very passionate about and loved reading. Larry was very involved in everyday life and the community.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and son, James R. Churchill in 2009.

She is survived by son, David Churchill of Pasadena, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Carole Churchill of Rochester; grandchildren, Brian (Lisa) and Brad Churchill, both of Rochester; and great-grandchildren, Molly (Jay) Fahs and Andy (fiancAC.e, Cassandra) Churchill, both of Rochester.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at Rochester United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at the church with the Rev. Julia Melgreen officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
