Lana Gail Tyma, 74, of Virden, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville, IL.

Lana was born in Springfield on September 9, 1948, the daughter of Russell and Marcella (Dunham) Byerline. Lana graduated from Tri-City High School in 1966 and then worked as an executive secretary for IDOT for over 27 years. She enjoyed crafts, studying family genealogy, and was the family photographer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Linda Lane.

Lana is survived by her husband, Robert Tyma; sons, Dug McCulley and William and Samuel Tyma; two grandchildren, Cambria and Stella Tyma; one brother, Jeff (Connie) Byerline and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.

Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg is in charge of arrangements.
