Kevin L. Mitchell died on May 5, 2021 of a cardiac arrest in Standard City, IL.

He is survived by 3 children: Austin Shafer, Nathan Shafer, and Kayden Mitchell. He is also survived by a brother, Thomas Mitchell (wife Apirl) of Standard City, IL; 2 sisters, Kimberly Prehoda (husband Bobby) of Riverton, IL and Amanda Mitchell (significant other Joseph Reese) of Springfield, IL and several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is proceed in death by both parents, Thomas and Carol Mitchell, grandparents, and uncles. He love to ride his dirt bikes, 4 wheeler, and other recreational toys and spending time with his kids and family.

Visitation for Kevin will be held at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL on Friday May 14, 2021. Friends may come to the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home in c/o Kevin's final expenses.
