Kenneth Allen Crist, 66, of Illiopolis, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Kenny was born in Decatur, IL. on April 21, 1959, the son of William “Sam” and Mary (Stanger) Crist. He worked as a farm hand and enjoyed tinkering on small engines and anything he could get his hands on.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Randy Hancock; sister in law, Linda Hancock and brother in law, Jim Boaden.

Kenny is survived by his siblings, Pat (Denzil) Howard, Carl Hancock, Gloria (Robert) Beck, Marilyn Boaden, Marsha (Bob) Roese, William “Bill” (Melinda) Crist, and Todd (Marie) Crist;  Bonus daughter, Karenza (Dylan) McCormick and grandson Rylan; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family Wayne and Ruth Cross.

A visitation will be held at Illiopolis United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 12PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00PM. Burial will follow at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Illiopolis.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Illiopolis United Methodist Church or Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
