Keith Virgil Sterner, 93, of Riverton, formerly of Springfield, IL died at his daughter's home in Riverton with his family present on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

Keith was born February 7, 1929 in Iowa, the son of Virgil and Hazel Turnipseed. He married Dorothy Bates on August 15, 1951. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2019. They were married for 67 years.

He is survived by four (4) sons, Kevin, (wife, Debbie) of Springfield; David of Colorado Springs, Colorado; John, (wife, Melissa) of Castle Rock, Colorado; and Jeff of Springfield; three (3) daughters, Marjorie Nation (husband, David) of Riverton; Maureen Seaborn, (husband, Leigh) of Springfield; and Patricia Tuttle, (husband, Chuck) of Springfield; fifteen (15) grandchildren and eleven (11) great- grandchildren.

Keith served honorably in the US Army. He worked most of his career for Allis Chalmers/ Fiat Allis as an accountant before retiring. Keith was an avid golfer.

Keith Loved the Lord and was looking forward to meeting Jesus face to face.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later time.
