Kathy A. Verstraeten, 62, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, August26, 2018 at her residence.

Kathy was born on October 3, 1955 in Springfield the daughter of Joseph and Nellie Griffin Stark.

She worked for Memorial Medical Center in housekeeping for 19 years.  She enjoyed playing cards, spending time with friends, listening to country music, and decorating for holidays.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Joseph and Gerald Stark.

She is survived by daughter, Chelsea Verstraeten; four grandchildren, Robert, Ashton, Natalya and Nicholas; one sister, Connie Knoles; two brothers, Michael and Randy Stark; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be accorded.  No services at this time.
