Obituary

Kathryn Krems McCurley, age 95, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016.

She was born February 19, 1921 in Springfield, Il to Walter and Ima Hancock Krems.  She married Ralph "Bud" McCurley on June 25, 1943.

Kathryn's role as mother and grandmother was her delight in life.  This is where she drew her strength and left her legacy.  Being with her family was what she enjoyed the most.

She was a lifelong member of the Cherry Hills Baptist Church.   She had a deep religious and spiritual belief.  She always loved and served the Lord with no question or hesitation.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and step father Fred Wallace and her husband Ralph "Bud" McCurley.

She is survived by her son, Richard McCurley (wife Bonnie), of Belleville, IL; daughter, Kay Jensen (husband Mark) of Sioux City, IA; and son, David McCurley (wife Beverly) of Rochester, IL; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Joe, Mark, Alison, Mauren, Chresten, Andrea and Christopher; eleven great grandchildren; and one, brother Kenneth Krems.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester with Reverend Gary Nelsen officiating.  Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
