Kathleen "Kate" Johnson Hein

ROCHESTER, IL - Kathleen "Kate" Johnson Hein, 66, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center.

Kate was born Dec. 14, 1948, in North Aurora, Ill., the daughter of Bill and Eva Trost Johnson. She married Edward Hein.

She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren and Women's PEO Organization. She loved nature and rescuing animals.

She is survived by her husband, Ed Hein, of Rochester.

Per her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at First Church of the Brethren. Burial will be at the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., at a later date.
