Karen Jane Huffman, 77, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. Karen was born on August 6, 1946 in Springfield, the daughter of Elmer and Geneva (Ayers) Huffman.

Karen was a lifelong hairdresser, having worked at Charles Colonial, Ye Copper Inn, First Lady, Hair Affair, Looks Unlimited and 901 Clocktower. Karen was a hairdressers assistant and held many offices. She loved traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Rodgers of Loami, and Jonathon Mandel of Springfield; grandchildren Nykolas Mandel, Weston Lyons (great grandson), Rai Anne Long, Cheyenne Hudson, Charlotte Hudson (great granddaughter),and Preston Dodd; several step grandchildren; brother, Jerald Huffman and sister, Sue Ellen (Ron) Green.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 15 2024 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Prop Club, 264 Maple Grove Ln, Springfield, IL 62712.

Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester is in charge of arrangements.
