Karen (Durham) Hope, 59, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Karen was born in Springfield on August 24, 1959 the daughter of Edward and Wilma (Sower) Durham.

Karen loved throwing darts, and gardening, but especially loved being with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, William Reese; brothers, John and Larry Durham; step-siblings, Debra Sue Reese and Paul-David Reese.

Karen is survived by her husband, James Hope; daughter, Amanda Hope (husband, David Peeler); grandchildren, David James Peeler and Zachery Carlisle Peeler; sisters, Deborah Talbott (Ron Carter), Kay Downey (George), Diane Thresher (John), Vickie Williams (Jack); brothers, Denny Durham (Tami), Randy Durham, Richie Durham (Jane), Tommy Durham; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Eillinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home.

Burial will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery at 1pm on Thursday May 2, 2019.
